JOB TITLE; ASSISTANT MANAGER
RESPONSIBLE TO; Directors, General Manager & Deputy Manager
HOURS; 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis
JOB SUMMARY; To organise and supervise staff in all departments To ensure that the guest receives the highest standard of service and is made to feel welcome and valued. To ensure standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel are maintained. To control stock levels within the hotel. To ensure all equipment used within the hotel is in good working order. To be responsible for completing staff rotas and reconciling all time sheets. To train all staff to a competent standard To ensure that all legislation is complied with. To be responsible for keys and monies. To act as duty manager when required. To deputise for the Managers and Deputy when required To act as head of department in the absence of the head of department. To encourage business and to be proactive in ensuring the hotel is busy and profitable To maintain correct profit / wage % and to assist the Managers and Deputy Manager in ensuring all departments are operated efficiently
PERSONAL Neat and tidy appearance.
To liase with all Hotel departments / customers, suppliers and head office.
Full driving licence
WORKING PRACTICES; To understand and comply with the company policy, fire precautions and legal requirements. To perform any other tasks that may be required from time to time.
PERFORMANCE No complaints or adverse reports.
STANDARD Hotel to be of a good, clean appearance. Equipment available and in working order Staff trained and well supervised at all times Correct profit / wage % maintained Good level of repeat business and new guests being welcomed to hotel
