As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for managing the restaurant and waiting staff ensuring there’s efficient teamwork which leads to pleasant customer service across the whole of the dining experience. You’ll encourage your team in working to achieve departmental targets and assisting in the training and supervision of restaurant staff. What will I be doing?

As a Restaurant Manager at The Devon Hotel, you are responsible for managing the restaurant and setting an example for your team in delivering the highest standard of customer service. You’ll be responsible for all areas of food and beverage, delivering excellent customer service to all of our guests and non-residents. As Restaurant Manager, you will also be required to assist and train restaurant staff alongside the Restaurant Manager, helping to guide the successful completion of departmental targets. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Prepare station for service which includes stocking condiments and linen as well as changing and servicing the cutlery available. 

  • Welcome customers, issue menus and receive and record customers’ orders if necessary alongside other members of the team. 

  • Serve food and drinks in a friendly and efficient manner. 

  • Clear and relay tables as necessary. 

  • Maintain cleanliness and exceptional hygiene of restaurant area and equipment 

  • Participate in the cleaning of the Restaurant alongside other Restaurant staff. 

  • Understand and comply with company policy on HASAWA, fire precautions, legal requirements, and perform any other tasks that may be required from time to time.

  • Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
